Beauty site Into The Gloss is one of my favorite blogs to visit. There’s something special about sharing the different products that make you feel pretty and confident. Celebs, designers, and writers share with Into The Gloss their skincare routines and favorite makeup products. One of their best interviews is with actress Debi Mazar. What a fireball!
It is only right that a beauty site such as this should branch out and do something that’s never been done before. Enter Emily Weiss, founder of Into The Gloss and who just started skincare brand, Glossier. Glossier is a “modern beauty brand inspired by real life.” I love that! Glossier will be releasing several products in different phases. Phase 1 consists of a face mist, priming moisturizer, a perfecting skin tint, and a skin salve which I happily already own.
I have a mild obsession with all-purpose creams, ointments, or lotions. This balm dotcom universal skin salve is just that. The waxy thick texture can be used on your lips, dry areas like elbows, on scratches, and under your eyes for instant and lasting moisture. I even tried it on small rash I had on my forearm (cold weather problems) and was satisfied to see that it helped minimize the itching and redness. I like the dewyness of this balm and they are not lying when they say it is long-lasting. However, I do wish the tube was bigger.
Glossier’s motto is “Skincare first. Makeup second. Smile Always.” What’s something that makes me smile? Their packaging. All of their products are super girly in light pink but also super minimal — perfect so you can decorate the bottles with stickers which conveniently come with your package. FYI I added a rainbow sticker on my tube.
I’m looking forward to seeing the next phases of Glossier. Until then I will contemplate whether I should buy their priming moisturizer. I think I will.
Will you check out Glossier? Any Into The Gloss fans?
