Working at a magazine is hard work but it definitely comes with some perks. Beauty sales are one of those perks. Most magazines hold an annual beauty sale whenever the beauty closet gets too crazy with beauty products. A couple of weeks ago I went to my second magazine beauty sale and got some cool stuff. Keep reading to see what I picked up:
Kora Organics Heart Chakra Essence
This is my first product from model Miranda Kerr’s beauty line Kora Organics. This is not something that I would typically be interested in picking up but let’s face it, was I going to get it this cheap somewhere else? The essence is made up of certified organic oils like rose otto, sandalwood, jojoba, and ylang ylang. The smell is very strong but once you rub it on your pulse points you feel energized. I definitely want to try more products from this organic line.
Avene Cold Cream
Avene is definitely one of my favorite French brands. I’m obsessed with their Thermal Spring Water (you can see my post about it here), so I was excited to pick this baby up. This cold cream is beneficial in aiding dry, irritated skin. I wish I had this product during the beginning of winter. I have not used it yet because the weather here in New York has been getting a little warmer, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the weather drops again. If so I’ll use it and get back to you with a review.
Dr. Hauschka Soothing Mask
Dr. Hauschka is a brand that I want to keep trying out. I love that they only use natural but effective ingredients to help your skin. This mask helps sensitive skin by calming down redness with shea and coconut oils as well as anthyllis. After I removed this mask my skin felt so soft. There’s just something about this brand that makes it feel luxe. Whenever I use this brand I know I’m getting the best quality.
Sephora Sleeping Masks in Ginseng and Rose
Sephora masks are all the rage these days. These mini masks are applied to your face, neck, and around the eyes before going to bed and allowing them to work their magic overnight. Ginseng helps with toning and firming, and Rose helps to moisturize and brighten. I have yet to try these but I’m so excited to do so. During the sale these masks were just on top of the table untouched. Didn’t anyone spot them? I’m glad I grabbed them before anyone else.
Yes to Baby Naturals Fragrance Free Wipes
Okay so during a beauty sale you sometimes don’t think you just take. Case in point: these baby wipes. In my defense I really thought they were makeup remover wipes. I even kept using them a couple of times to take off my makeup without yet realizing what they were really for. These baby wipes are gentle — gentle enough that they didn’t irritate my skin when I used them on my face. These wipes are made up of apricot, banana, and carrot extracts to cleanse a baby’s skin.
100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream *Not Pictured
This coffee bean eye cream was one of the products I was really excited to pick up. It’s suppose to reduce the appearance of puffy eyes and dark circles. I’ve been using this product before applying my makeup and I must say that I have less puffiness around the eyes. But what I like the most about this is that it keeps my delicate eye area moisturized. As for dark circles I haven’t seen much of a change.
