I’ve never been one to say that my eyebrows are “on fleek.” I do love my eyebrows though. I remember when I turned thirteen and my mom gave me permission so that I could wax my eyebrows for the first time although I never told her I wanted to wax them in the first place. It turns out that my older sister waxed her eyebrows for the first time when she was thirteen and of course tradition passed on to me. My eyebrows have always been light black with fine hairs so I never really saw the point of waxing them.
Ultimately I did waxed my eyebrows, although not at thirteen, and I do have to say they looked cleaner. But to be honest I can go months without waxing them and no one will ever notice that I missed a wax appointment. What can I say, waxing the brows is one less upkeep I have to deal with every month. Although I am happy with my brows I always wanted my brows to be thick like Lily Collins but with a simple shape like Jessica Alba’s.
Enter Glossier Boy Brow. I’ve been obsessed with Glossier since they first launched and I’m always on the lookout for any new product releases. Their latest launch: Boy Brow, an eyebrow pomade used to thicken and condition your eyebrows while adding color and a flexible hold. It works great on any type of brows. What I love the most about this is that it completely defines my eyebrows making me look polished without needing to wear any other kind of makeup. Another great thing about this pomade is the color selection. The Boy Brow comes in three colors, blond, brown, and black. I wear black and it really suits me well.
You can almost compare this product to Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Gel. But the color pay off doesn’t compare. Gimme Brow is only available in two colors and none of them match my natural hair color. Their medium/deep color is a very dark brown that just doesn’t look flattering on me. But the Boy Brow black color looks very natural which I love.
How do they look?
To apply the Boy Brow I simply brush the wand over my eyebrows in an upward motion making sure to focus on my eyebrow “sprouts” (the very beginning of your brow) for a youthful look and natural pigmented definition. This is also perfect for every day use.
