After leaving my internship for the day I decided to stop by my nearest Duane Reade to purchase some things that I needed. Suddenly something caught my eye — a small table filled with Nuxe products. I’ve heard great things about this brand. It’s French and I am obsessed with French beauty products. One product in particular that seems to be a cult favorite among women is Nuxe’s Reve de Miel Lip Balm.
I wanted to try this lip balm so bad but the $19 price tag didn’t sound so inviting. Either way I gave in and bought it. I left the drugstore feeling regret for spending the money but excited to open it and try it on. One of the main things that I’ve read in online reviews about this lip balm is how thick it really is. They’re not lying. The texture is thick and creamy but can easily be applied to the lips. I actually like that it is thick because it feels very moisturizing.
This stuff also smells amazing. It smells just like lemon! The dark yellow color may seem a little off-putting but it does get the job done. The package even indicates that it’s been tested for effectiveness in Canada’s extreme cold. Made with honey, plant oils, and shea butter, this balm is a no-brainer. It also doesn’t hurt to know that one of these bad boys is sold every 28 seconds throughout the world. Nuts!
This is my first Nuxe product and I’m already eager to try some of their other stuff. The salesperson in Duane Reade kindly offered me a sample of Nuxe’s signature fragrance, Prodigieux. It smells beautiful! And now I’ll be adding that to my beauty wishlist.
