Blazer: H&M | Tee: Zara | Jeans: Zara | Flats: J. Crew Factory
When dressing for the office I always add a blazer. A blazer can absolutely make a casual outfit feel and look a little more dressed up. I love black and white blazers, but right now I’m loving this navy one from H&M. I got it on sale last year and it’s great because it also keeps me warm. I think every woman should have a blazer in her closet; it really makes a difference.
Along with my navy blazer I’m also wearing a striped tee from Zara from their organic cotton line. This tee is so soft and after washing it it remained exactly the same. Yay! And one of my favorite office flats are these by J. Crew. They are super comfortable and I always get compliments when I wear them.
Are you as blazer obsessed as me? What’s your number one closet staple?
My love for Longchamp bags started in college. I wanted to look more grown-up and stylish so I opted for a tote. The large Longchamp Le Pliage tote is the perfect bag for a college student. You can fit so many things inside and it is very durable. I used mines non-stop during my last three years in college and just recently the zipper started becoming a little complicated.
If you live in NYC you will definitely see several women wearing one of these bags. They are very popular but for good reason. Also the large version is the best tote for traveling. Plus these bags won’t make a hole in your wallet! My sister also loves the Le Pliage collection so between her and myself we have several of these bags ranging from small, medium, and large sizes, and different colors. One of the perks of having an older sister? Sharing is caring!
During our recent trip to Macy’s in Herald Square my sister and I had to stop by the Longchamp shop to check out their new colors. To my surprise all of their summer colors were currently on sale and I obviously couldn’t control myself. I bought the small Le Pliage in the color bubblegum pink. It’s the prettiest and girliest color. This mini bag is perfect to carry just the essentials but I feel that I can fit even more stuff inside. This bag is my own personal treat for my birthday, which was back in May, (late I know!) and I can’t wait to start wearing it.
Any Longchamp fans? What’s your favorite bag?
Something that I’ve been doing lately is shopping sample sales in NYC. While I was interning at O, The Oprah Magazine my friend Rebecca and I would go to sample sales after leaving the office for the day. So far we’ve shopped sample sales from Rebecca Minkoff, J.Crew and Madewell, Baublebar, and most recently Loeffler Randall.
The Loeffler Randall Spring 2015 sale happened in Soho last week. A lot of people came out for the sale and we stood in line for maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Once we made our way inside all of the shoes were nicely packaged in plastic bags and hanging on racks. A misconception about sample sales is that they’re disorganized or too crowded. So far from the few sample sales I’ve attended everything has been organized and not filled with crazy shoppers.
I’ve never owned a pair of Loeffler Randall shoes so I was super excited to find something that I would love. I ended up finding these really cute espadrilles and once I tried them on I was obsessed. They are the comfiest pair of shoes I think I’ve ever worn. That’s one of the things I look for when shopping for shoes — comfort. And these espadrilles were not only cute and comfy but I got them at an awesome price…around 60% off!
I’m definitely looking forward to shopping more shoes from this brand and I can’t wait to wear these bad boys soon. Plus I have good news: The Mara Cap-Toe Espadrille is currently on sale online at Loeffler Randall.
Have you tried a pair of Loeffler Randall shoes? Any fans of sample sales?
A couple of weeks ago I stopped by Zara to do a little shopping. After trying some tops, the only thing that I completely fell in love with were these jeans. So pretty! I’ve been wanting a pair of Zara jeans for a while. I kept hearing good things about them especially on how great they fit. Plus, bloggers are always raving about their jeans too. I tried them on and they really do fit great!
These jeans are mid rise skinny in a medium wash. This pair and other pairs that Zara sells remind me of Rag and Bone jeans. I think they have a similar aesthetic but Zara is obviously much lower in price. Win! I can’t wait to wear these jeans. I’ll definitely wear them with my favorite go-to outfit — a tee, a blazer, and a pair of flats. Maybe I’ll add a hat to the mix too. These jeans will be perfect for fall and I know I’ll definitely be wearing them all season long.
